Drizzy Drake Rogers- Get Familiar...

I first heard this dude on Lil Wayne's Dedication III mixtape with Dr Drama... I think it sucks but this guy Drake is the only highlight. So, over the past few months, Ive heard him featured on a few other Lil Wayne tracks... He's pretty consistent and I'm remembering this guy's name! So, about a month ago, I heard the joints with Santogold and Lykke Li... Okay, I didn't know dude could sing too and he's pretty creative with his art! I'm impressed... So, when I heard he was dropping a mixtape, "So Far Gone," I had to get my hands on it. Now, I'm blown away...

"So Far Gone" is an INSTANT CLASSIC and will be in heavy rotation at the condo- straight up! It features the three artists I mentioned above, as well as, Bun B., and Trey Songz. I did a little research on this guy because I heard he wrote tracks for Dr. Dre's new album, Detox. Turns out, he's not very new. He's quite popular in Canada, as he is an actor on a popular TV show up there in Toronto and has landed roles in a couple movies. I hear NBA superstars, LeBron James and Chris Paul are huge fans, and for good reason.
Anyway, I really enjoy discovering new dope music before it becomes widespread. I'm really looking forward to his debut album, "Room for Improvement" to see if he can put an album together. That's the real test but I'm not worried!

So yeah, get your game up and check him out ASAP!! Get at me if you need a copy... I still need to post about my guy, Kid Cudi and The Foreign Exchange. Follow me- I got you!

I Know Whatever You Like- Feat Jay-Z & T.I.

This one is for the ladies and it's timeless- an instant classic! I put two of the most talented MCs together and arranged their most heartfelt and most "swaggerifc" songs about the ladies! Who has the most appeal? That's for the listeners to decide but all the classics are here including: What's Yo Name, Excuse Me, I Just Wanna Love You, Why You Wanna, Song Cry, and of course Whatever You Like. This mix is full of your favorites- you'll be singing along all the way to club! Fellas... I didnt forget about you- I put a few songs on here that we love too including Hotel and Is That Yo Chick (Jigga only version)!

Discographies

I'm gonna put you up on game here. The possibilities are endless... I dont have time to make a new entry and post a picture for every artist for whom I have a complete discography. I put all the artists' albums on one CD in mp3 format; I can usually fit about 10 albums on one CD. You should try it; its a great way to condense and catalog your music collection.

From there, you can pop the CD into your computer and copy the albums into your music folder. Then, you can transfer the files onto your iPod, burn the CDs individually for your car, or whatever else you want to do! Most DVD players will play mp3 CDs and newer car stereos play them as well! I recently went on a roadtrip and banged my Jay-Z mp3 for over 10hrs straight- reminiscing and reliving the times when those records dropped! It was pretty dope to have it all on one CD.

Anyway, here is a list of some of the artists in my collection:

2Pac (2pacalypse now - makaveli and unreleased songs. no posthumous material), 50 Cent, Aaliyah, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Bob Marley (most popular albums), Common, Jagged Edge, Jay-Z, John Legend, Lil Wayne (studio albums only with Hot Boyz albums), Mary J Blige, Michael Jackson (plus popular Jackson 5 albums), Musiq Soulchild, Nas, New Edition (with Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, and BBD albums), Nina Simone (most popular albums), Notorious BIG (no posthumous material. added in Jr. Mafia & Lil Kim albums), Outkast, Prince (most popular albums), R. Kelly, Scarface, Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder (most popular albums), The Game, Timbaland & Missy, UGK, Usher, Young Jeezy, others I didnt remember to list!

In cases such as John Legend, who has only released three studio albums and one live album, I add all feature songs and collaborations to fill the empty space. In some cases, I add another artists' catalog; John Legend and D'Angelo for example!

Hit me up for more info...

King of the South is Serious!

I finally organized my T.I. collection! All six studio albums with a few mixtapes, notable features, and unreleased tracks from the KOTS himself thrown in there to fill the rest of the space. This is classic... He's working his way into my top 5 list but has a ways to go to knock off Ghostface Killah!

Jay-Z Discography

Okay, Okay... It's pretty obvious Jay-Z is my favorite (living) MC (nobody will EVER take your place, Pac!) so it's only natural that his is the first discography I organized. This man's library is insane... it doesnt even fit on one mp3 disc, so there are two. The first features his first 10 studio albums, the second includes his last two studio albums along with EVERY song he has EVER been on that does not appear on one of his albums! Go ahead, try to stump me- they're ALL here. Do you know how difficult it is to get that much swagger in one place? No PAUSE necessary...

Hip-Pop-Rock

This mix is a bit of a departure from my comfort zone but is definitely a welcome change! "We" are taking Rock n' Roll back this year in a BIG way! Genres are blending as hip hoppers collaborate with rockers and pop artists' music becomes more and more infused with elements of the boombap!

So here we go... 22 tracks featuring some of the usual suspects but a few new names as well, such as; Lady Gaga, Kid Cudi, Chester French, Lykke Li, Fall Out Boy, DJ Class, Keri Hilson, Common, Ice Cube, Drake, Santogold, and more!

The Goonies- Vol I

Okay, so Rick Ross and 50 Cent are officially beefin'... Curtis has been employing some Machiavellian type tactics off the mic that have without doubt gotten under the bosses' skin. We all know 50 lives for this... this is what he does! LoL...

Hip Hop/Rap/Goon Music

This mix features 22 BLAZIN tracks from some of the hardest personas in the hip hop game such as; Young Jeezy, Jim Jones, Gucci Mane, OJ da Juiceman, Shawty Lo, 8Ball & MJG, Rick Ross vs. 50 Cent, G-Unit, Yung LA, T.I., Jay-Z, Fabolous, Young Dro, Juelz Santana, Drake, Weezy F, UGK, Bump J, Fat Joe, and Cam'ron is baaaaack...
